The Waspmote API can automatically define periodic cycles for transmission/sleep modes, and it currently supports Bluetooth V4, so the task you describe can perfectly be solved with just the basic components of the system. Unfortunately we don't have this hardware here for testing, but we can work very well with the Wapmote IDE, so if you wish to make the testing for us we wuld gladly collaborate with you on this task. I know the ATmega1281, and have a great experience in embedded systems and electronics development. I also can program in assembly for the ATmega family.

I have no experience on that specific device, but the documentation of it seems complete, so it shouldn't be a problem. I have experience on working or hardware devices, as we have developed in the past drivers for voice telephony cards and mid and high level software working on them. A kind of cross compiler should be available. The kind of device seems interesting ! What is sure, is that such a hardware should be required physically in order to check code, unless you have some kind of different proposal. Having looked very fastly at the documentation, I believe instead of sleep you mean hibernation as also that provides the capability to wake up based on the real time clock.

Hey, To me the project sounds very simple, so I think I can do this project very quickly. I have estimated the task to 10 days because it will probably take some time to get the hardware and I need some time to test. The only risk I see in the project is the sensor you want to read data from. Do you have any more information on the sensor you can provide? /Thomas
