I am about to take a dedicated (unmanaged) server from either Rackshack/EV1 or Servermatrix and I need someone to check the server out, optimize and secure it. The server will come with Redhat 9 and cPanel installed, which I believe means that MySQL, PHP, Zend Optimizer and GD2 Library are also installed. Anyway I need these to be present and working, along with Image Magick and Wget. There are a few specific Apache mods I want to be sure are switched on, but nothing unusual as far as I know. I have had similar work done before but my "usual" guy is out sick. My knowledge of setting up servers is close to zero, so beyond the things I have mentioned, whoever does this should know what questions to ask me.
