GPS tracking and maps

Project: Vehicles Tracking trough Mobile GPS unit Build web and script interface between mobile GPS unit, Central Map Server and Sql 7 or Sql 2000 Server. When user sends request web interface, trough script, would contact GPS unit, request all GPS related data, receive data, format data and insert data to SQL Server. Once data is received and inserted to Central SQL Server than interface would read following from SQL server: GPS location coordinates. Next, interface sends coordinates to Map Server, request Map image, plot user location to the Map image and forward it to user web interface. Important part is how interface would communicate with Vehicle GPS unit and which GPS units to use. Good idea would be to use GPS unit that has build in memory. This way GPS unit would record all day data to build in memory and periodically SQL server can contact GPS unit to download and store this data. Periodically could mean every hour. I will dedicate another server just to perform this function. Following data to be collected and recorded by GPS unit: Address of each destination, names of streets traveled, how long the vehicle remained at each location, addresses of any vehicle stops and the duration of the stop. User has to be able to find Vehicle regardless if vehicle is in use or not. Project to include full functional US Maps with great mapping details (example [login to view URL]) and with following web accessible functions: Address search, save searched addresses, driving direction between to addresses, driving direction between GPS location and other address, zoom in-out, distance between to addresses and distance between GPS location and other address. Different membership level provides different folder size for images and data storing. With Standard 10mb, Gold 50mb and Platinum 100mb. Provide function that sends warning email when user folder is almost full and function that show warning message to this users when they Log-in. 3 membership levels: Standard, Gold and Platinum with user option to upgrade or downgrade service. To be build using VB Scripts or C++ as a Server side scripting with active server pages. Use JavaScripts as a client side scripts. MUST all 4+ browsers friendly without any plug-in needed. No sessions use with this project. Cookies are OK if the user settings permitted otherwise all user movement to be recorded to SQL server ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Complete copyrights to all work purchased. ## Deadline information All small details need to be worked out before delivering of the project.
