Project: Scripts that run on AIX need them converted to run on Linux.

Problem: Currently not able to compile the up+.c program on Linux. We need a solution to resolve this situation.

Migration: The scripts currently use one server for each application. The conversion will envolve migrating to linux and using multiple applications on a server.

The scripts currently reference a server name which will be changing, and the communication tier will be changing from a database server to a web server.

Informational:

The goal is to be able to execute Oracle utilities at the schema level without the OS user being exposed to the password of the privileged database user.

1. The up+.c file is the program itself in C.

2. The up+.config file defines the users who are privileged to call the

program and defines the users they are allowed to execute Oracle utilities

as.

3. The up+.info file is the password repository through which credentials

are passed when up+ is invoked.

See attached document and scripts with comments for more information. We will have a remote test environment to login for development and testing. And when qa test finished will deploy to production.
