I require what sounds like a fairly simple program but infact it must be very good. I need a game created called Netpong and the game must allow at a minimum 2 players that can play against each other over either a LAN or WAN (The Internet). There must also be some way of minimising the effect of network delay on the performance of the game either in the code or as an option in the game. Also and Ideally a speed setting must be inlcuded in the game so that the Server Application can set the speed of the game. The GUI must look professional and must also be User Friendly. In the program there must also be some way of keeping score. Ideally the program should run in both UNIX and Windows (32 Bit Version: 95 and Onwards) however this point can be discussed. I will leave the language of choice upto the programmer however Java or C would be preferrable but this point really is open to discussion.
Although this is a personal project I am still very willing to pay a very satisfactory amount to the eventual programmer but obviously this matter is open for discussion but anywhere upto $200 is possible depending on the quality of the final project.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2)Complete comprehenisve Commented Source Code and any diagrams, schematics and planning so I can understand and report on how the program runs and how the program has been created
3) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
4) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased.
## Platform
As mentioned above ideally both Windows and Unix/Linux but this area is open for discussion.
## Deadline information
Entire project must be completed by the 10th of Janaury 2003 and I may require a prototype version before this date and maybe some diagrams and notes. I will also require regular updates so I know how the project is coming along. Time Zone really isn't a problem as the Internet Closes!
