Develop site specification Background information We are a travel agent company located in New York. We need three separate web sites that would attract viewers for a) Golf holidays b) Spa vacations c) Group travel We ought to have about 1000 genuine and interested viewers per day to each of the sites with in three months of hosting them. The purpose of the sites is to engage the viewer to scan available options, discuss it with their vacation partners, and call the agency for discussions over telephone and book the order. The site should give us credibility as a business of standing. We do not have the content but most of it is available on line. We are resellers to almost all top brands and destinations in Americas, Europe, and Australia. We may need to divide work among several bidders or may have to give to one bidder. We invite bids to develop specifications for the work that we may host at RAC, elance and other bid site to invite bids. Job Develop the site specification to act as guidance for the coder and acceptance criterion for quality control and for judging the effectiveness of a development effort, with concise statement of core goals, values, and intent. Define basic policy. Provide the designer with a compass to keep the development process focused on the ultimate purposes of the site. Specs should serve a reference point to settle disputes, to judge the potential utility of new ideas as they arise, to measure progress, and to keep the development team purposeful on the ultimate goals. At minimum, site specification should define the content scope, budget, schedule of work and payment, and technical aspects of the Web site. The basic structure for guidelines may be as in deliverable. The site specifications should be very short and to the point, just as outlines or bullet lists of the major design or technical features planned. The specifications should address the points mentioned in deliverables.
