The video metafile repository will be used to allow admins/publishers of an already exisitng ASP based CMS system to upload video files to a directory or database during this process a metafile is created and used to access/view the files elesewhere in the site. The purpose of this mod is for the ability to upload a news or subject video clip of say 3 mins length and tack on an opening intro/commercial to the beginning and end of the clip. The browser video player (in this case windows media player) looks at the metafile and queues up the files - the viewer only sees one seemless video persentation.
## Deliverables
Looking for: 1. an ASP script or include that can be incorporated into our ASP based CMS - this script is a subroutine that allows for video files to be uploaded and stored, creates a metafile that links intro, main, and end clips together and provides an option to include a banner/graphic jpg as an overlay display (all of this is easily done with metafiles - 'just needs to be automated:) 2. in addition, the script must integrate into the existing CMS upload/submit script so that the new upload fields reflect the video upload choices. (exisitng script uses Persits ASPUpload lib) 3. sql file to update the tables in database. (a directory structure for uploaded files would be acceptable for this as well, but sql is preferred.) 4. a variable that represents a link to the stored media/metafile needs to be integrated into the existing news publish script e.g. the news summary field displays a (PLAY MEDIA) graphic if a video file exisits for this article. 5. Ability to preview uploaded clips (metafile) 6. Ability to call up previously uploaded clips and utilize for metafile creation (example: 15 second commercial for a car dealer is created and uploaded for video 1, would like publisher to be able to select that video from a dropdown list and include it as the beginning of the video2 clip instead of needeing to re-upload) 7. Ability to delete previoulsy uploaded clips from the lists.
