ONLINE Dashboard and DATA HANDLING

I would like to automate my current excel report into a 'one page' dashboard self help for my COLLOEQUES where they can run report themselves.

This will also include the handling of future Data

HOW IT CURRENTY WORKS:

Now let me explain by means of a fiscal example –no 4 – Abattoir - which will also be the entity that the demo will be based on. (However all these entities work on the exact same basis?)

Now this is how it is currently being done.

The entities in this case no 4, the Abattoir, all make use of an accounting system called Pastel, this will not be changed and the solution has to be built around this.

Currently Reports are generated as follows.

1. Sales data is exported out of pastel to an excel sheet. Referred to as: Sales Data. ( see sales data 1 – 30 [url removed, login to view]) – This is the raw Data exactly how it appears when exported out of pastel.

2. This Sales Data file , is then being changed, manipulated /edited to the following structure ( see ( reporting tool 1 – 30 Nov)

(IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO have a complete understanding on how this “ conversation “from the Sales data 1-30 [url removed, login to view] to the reporting tool. 1 – 30 [url removed, login to view] has been done.

Take note of the following:

The factor of a specific item I(which is actually the amount of Kg’s that a specific item consists off – in other words the amount of kg”s per unit )

This figures get decided by management, and it is important that there must be certain authentication, if a specific item’s factor is added, edited, deleted, or adjusted.

None of these These factors can be obtained from somewhere else, When a new item is being created - the factor for that item must be captured if its more than 1kg units.

Let me explain this by using the following example:

This is how the transaction look in the sales data file 1-30 Nov

After it is converted , it look as follows in the reporting tool 1-30 Nov

The Qty field is calculated by taking the units above – which is 60 and multiply it by the Factor which is 15 for this specific item.

After this conversion the transaction is in the format as per the” reporting tool 1- 30 Nov file”

The reporting tool file is then being used to do all sort of reports and graphs etc by making use of pivot tables , slicers etc etc.

I want to change this into a more solid professional solution like maybe a sql database with a php site?
