Looking for a Java based instant messaging platform. Needs to have the following capabilities...
1. Client written in JAVA Swing for cross platform compatibility
2. Server written in JAVA with a Swing based configuration and monitoring component.
3. Allows for integration into a variety of DB platforms (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle) for user authentication. Should allow the administrator to select a specific database to authenticate against for username/password lookup. If one does not exist, then the server should default to an internal format.
4. Grouping of "buddies" based on...
a. Administrators database configuration table "groups" that assigns users to a specific group.
b. User preferences where users can create groups of users
c. Groups (admin and user) must be stored in a "groups" table
5. Text chat - would like ability to send text in bold, italics, underline and in different fonts as well.
6. File transfer - peer to peer file transfer. Must log file transfer (see #7 below) according to file location on client computer, file size and who it was sent to.
7. Full logging of conversations back to Server / database...
a. Must be able to be enabled / disabled on a per-user basis by the administrator
b. Must be able to be enabled / disabled on a per-group basis by the administrator
c. Must be able to be enabled / disabled on a per-server basis by the administrator
8. All conversations and data transfers must be transported by TCP/IP and must be **encrypted** using AES-256 bit encryption.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
