I have an HTML page with? simple JS that displays and hides a div.? This works fine for one div to be manipulated. (See attached demo.)
However, I want to be able to manipulate multiple divs.? And, Affiliates will paste in this same code one or more times (one time for each language, and might even duplicate some of the ? languages, for all I know).?
My concern is that the Affiliate may put more than one banner on the page. This could cause a naming conflict with the divs, and also with the function names.? I want this cross-browser (which I think it already is) and bullet-proof, so I don't get angry calls from the Affiliates that I cannot, in my ignorance, troubleshoot.
I will be generating the code for the Affiliate, so I could use unique ID's for the div corresponding to the language he chose, and even unique function names for each time the Affiliate pastes in the code again. Each past-in should stand alone, and not conflict with earlier and later paste-ins of the code for other divs.
My goal is to have a cross-browser (for the browsers supported), bullet-proof implementation (which does required JS, of course, with a notification to users if they have disabled JS that they need it on).
