Joining website form logic
$30-5000 USD

Hi,
I've got a form to join my website. Just want a bit of logic added.
On the form ([url removed, login to view]), the first field asks for an email address (member_username).
Upon tabbing out of this field, I'd like the database table 'members' (sql dump attached) searched. If the email address does not already exist in the database, I'd like the tick (images/feedback/[url removed, login to view]) next to this field to become visible, incidating that the username is available. If the email address already exists in the database, I'd like the cross (images/feedback/[url removed, login to view]) next to this field to become visible, indicating that the username is not available. A message should also appear saying "This username already exists in the database".
Until the user tabs out of this field, both the tick and the cross should remain invisible.
Basically the same thing should happen when the user tabs out of the password confirm field on the form.
if member_password = member_password_confirm, display tick. If member_password != member_password_confirm, display cross and a message saying "Your passwords do not match, please try again".
There should also be some validation on submit.
If member_password != member_password_confirm, the form should not be submitted.
Also, if member_username already exists in the database, the form should not be submitted.
Thanks,
Dave
