I use a command to invoke a script to invoke a java class under Linux.? ? The script and java will run in the background.? The command is:
exec [login to view URL] > [login to view URL] &
This works fine.? When you do a PS, you can see:
PID? ? ? ? ? ? ? TTY? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? TIME? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? CMD
31984? ? pts/0? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 00:00:00? ? [login to view URL]
31986? ? pts/0? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 00:00:11? ? java
To stop the program, I have to do a KILL on the PID.? If the Java is killed, then the PID for the script will end also.? I would like to have a shutdown script which will find the pid and issue the KILL command to terminate the script and the java class.?
The [login to view URL] is attached.
