Have an exsisting program. See "home automation" under completed works for details (use Quick Search). Now I want it to play wave files, downloaded this code from a web site and it works: [url removed, login to view] As this page says it stops the program when it plays a wavfile, which must not happen in my program. Basically my program is a big loop, getting data from the interface board. When a variable is set in the loop, I want a short wave file to play (will never be more than 10 words) and they must be cued. If several variables are set and call several different wave files,the wave files must play in sequence without slowing (significantly) or stopping the loop. The exsisting program is "slow" now , looping at the most 10 times a second. Not more than 10 different wave files will be called at any given time. I might need help modifing the module once I get it integrated with my exisiting [url removed, login to view] you can make a standalone module that randomly calls different wav file every 5 seconds or so and cues them to play sequentiatily and at the same time have a counter in the loop count continously without being interupted, I should be able to integrate it. The next stage in the developing of my program is getting the modem to dial out and play wav files. Hopefully I will be able to call into the program and prompt it for information, but that is down the road aways.
