Prestashop for totally awesome concert tickets website

We desire to build a astonishingly sexy website to sell tickets for great concerts.
Best bet would probably be a fast, responsive Prestashop template with custom modules.
The website's core function should be a seating map (PNG / SVG / JPG) for every date/venue.
Goal is to assign specific seats to (x,y)-positions on the seating chart, make them selectable directly from the map and use them as products for the checkout. So basically, we make seating charts for venues, assign a venue to an artist's tour date (e.g. »Phil Collins«, 12/12/2012, 8:00pm at »Columbia Hall Berlin«) and couple those free preconfigured seats with a price. Pretty straight forward.
On top of that, a layered, API-accessible design (to grant 3rd-party-access to our database) would be totally awesome, but this is probably wishful thinking — or is it?
