Set up Mailman on Ubuntu 14.04

We need mailman ([url removed, login to view]) set up on an in-house Ubuntu 14.04 machine with Apache 2.4 and Postfix. I need someone who can walk me through the steps of getting this set up correctly. We have a fresh virtual machine install, domain registration, etc. I can give you shell access but we need documented step-by-step repeatable process for setting this up as there will be other machines in the future. I've been down the route of trying several FAQ sites. I know we have problems with the Ubuntu mailman package being set up for Apache 2.2. I've gotten as far as having Apache "deliver" the CGI content rather than execute CGI & deliver HTML.
