Lawn Care Business Application

We need a desktop program that will handle and organize our lawn care business. This includes schedules, re-schedules, customer databases, invoices, customer letters feature, calculators, basic accounting, etc. If you have experience in this type of work then I will go into more detail on features needed. I will also inlcude a few similar applications on the market for you to use as an idea. Code needs to be very clean, crisp and come with detailed documentation. This WILL be an ongoing project as features are added. Winning bidder will have the opportunity to keep a steady flow of work opportunities.? This program will need built in security feature. This will communicate with the website/server during the registeration and initial installation. We need to be able to decide how often it MUST check the server for a re-authorazation. Will give user warnings each time they open the program letting them know how many days they have to log into the net or site for the re-authorization, etc. The security feature is not a deal breaker. It would be nice but we can discuss this and come to an agreement on what is better, if any. As stated, I will go into great detail with interested and abled coders on all features needed. Once program is completed, needs to come with full installation documents along with built in help files, etc. Open for suggestions as to what programming language is used. Needs to work on Windows 98 upto Windows Vista. If different versions are needed to accomplish this, that is fine. Your advice and opinions are also welcome. One added note. Some have asked about the security and how it's supposed to work. I have given this a lot of thought as to the best way, and easiest way. My first thought was to have a serial number auto generated by the program during installation, then the user loggs into something like, [login to view URL] From there he/she enters there name, serial number that was generated during the install, then the server gives them a register number. They then enter that number into the area in the software program and bam, it's registered. Then for added protection, the program will insist on connecting to the internet to confirm that the program is registered, etc. If not, then the program would lock the user out. This is only an idea but this may be too complicated for the First version of this program and also add too much cost to it. Keep in mind, this will be an ongoing project that I hope to build on and keep adding features, fixing bugs that I hope never appear. I hope the coder also hopes to work with me ongoing also.
