Print label automatically when new record created in SQL.

I use ebay blackthorne, which is an ebay listing tool that is sql based. I would like for an inventory label to print each time a new item is created within the program. The label must be configured using data from a few fields and would preferably include a barcode for one of the fields data, although that is not necessary.
The method must be completely in the background.
After googling the idea a bit, I came upon at least one site that described this ability to be within SQL server reporting services.
