I have a working WPF sample that uses triggers to customize the listboxitem in order to obtain the following funtionality:

1) when you hover on an image the border of the image is blue.

2) when you select one or more images, the border becomes red.

3) I need to know the selecteditems as soon as the selection changes and I need it using MVVM from the viewmodel.

I can provide a working sample as a WPF application.

I need to obtain the very same behaviour in Silverlight and in WPF using VisualStateManager or whatever technique that would allow me to use the same code in both Silverlight and WPF.
