A fully integrated web site for a geographical community. Suggestion is INVISION POWER BOARD for forums, along with SQUIRREL MAIL for web mail access. Phase one must include: Site login with unified access to auctions and/or classifieds ads, web-mail, calendar and event notification, site customization, and user forums. Basically, this means INVISION fully loaded with all ad-on modules, and SQUIRREL MAIL or equivalent also fully loaded, and totally interoperable. Forums and chat rooms with ability to limit access according to age and/or gender of user. Mail front-end that sends weekly notices to free members, special member letters to all members, free and paid, and ability to switch mail service from web to POP access, purchase additional storage space, do e-mail forwarding, similar to [login to view URL] and provide a special "certified" mail that identifies members who have been certified to be who they claim to be. User Authentication system and user "certification" system that will require a user to provide information to verify age, gender, name - such as a site like [login to view URL] Must be able to have free and or paid ads. Classifieds such as CHILLISOFT could be integrated, but need auction capability. Must be able to ad photos to ads and auctions, must give thumbnails of items in listings. Must support personals ads. Must also include a content management system for the portal content - see INVISION BOARD for elements of this. Must support e-mail feed of content - a writer must be able to send an e-mail to the system and have the article automatically appear in its correct position on the site with proper formatting. Must have: Site search Support for unified billing, and sending bills and taking payments via paypal, also, later, credit cards. Add to browser toolbar option Easy administration interface Backup routine Source code and documentaion for updating and maintenance Phase two: Shopping portal, real estate finder, branded online messenger that is AOL compatible. TV listings in a format similar to [login to view URL] and Support domain registration services through ENOM API - see [login to view URL] Provide a payment platform between certified members. Other notes: The entire site must have a unified look and feel, must be able to be changed by our graphics people at any time. Site must soft launch with some or all features on 3.3.03 Budget is low, expectations are high. All replies must include identifier ORGSTAR project to be considered. For those who have not done research yet, it is expected that EVERYTHING is built onto the INVISION BOARD platform - please see [login to view URL] Site must load quickly, such as [login to view URL] and will have a graphical look and feel similar to the forums at the INVISION site - such as [login to view URL] The winning bidder will be selected based on quality of work, previous experience and price. Bidders are welcome to provide information on how they intend to deliver the project and what obstacles they see. "EVERYTHING is built onto the INVISION BOARD platform" means all the mods to the INVISION BOARD 1.1 platform are built into the product, not that all features of the web site are built onto INVISION. An example of an invision mod based portal is [login to view URL] Terms will be 10% up front, 10% upon completion of project plan and approval, 10% per agreed milestone until project completion, with a 20% hold-back until 90 days of continuous operation have been completed for bug closing and turn over of documentation. This project winner will be the preferred bidder for modifications and updates and for the creation of a second similar portal site Any open source code that is used must be declared, we will pay the license fee for the copyright removal from the INVISION software - all other modules are the responsibility of the bidder unless otherwise agreed beforehand. All rights go to buyer. Willing to give a revenue share for 90 days in consideration for any extras offered by bidders. Serious bidders who have further questions, be advised that additional information is avalaible upon request. We are willing to award this project early to compelling offers. Reminder: This site is a full portal, including: news - see [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] for examples sports weather announcements personals classifieds auctions payment system [login to view URL] functionality Please read all of the PMB carefully with the requirements. Any bidder that wants serious consideration must send a reply stating their understanding of what is required - this is not a ten page web site. Local sports teams each have a free "team" page, and can have a for-fee microsite - and someone from the team can post the latest score - birth announcements, obituaries. Replaces a community newspaper, in a way. This has to be intelligent, low maintenance. Decent admin area and content management is needed If a columnist wants to post his new article, it should be a matter of logging in, and either upload or cut and paste, and the system "flows" it into the correct space, properly formatted. The e-mail needs to have banner ads, unless the user pays. Exactly like [login to view URL] "premium" services. Everything needed exists as mods to squirrel mail, or diy, but it needs to scale nicely. Needs to "customize" to the users - as in, which of three or four "weather locations" they want on their page. The second part is a shopping section that gives points, like ebates - more like [login to view URL] - but in any case, need to manage ad inventory of two types: affiliate program inserts from linkshare, etc. and locally sold ads and the local ads will be banners, links, and microsites. The avatars and "screen name" that you pick up in the forum has to be universal throughout the site - single login, tied to a supplied e-mail address that is either [login to view URL] "at" [login to view URL] or screenname "at" [login to view URL] Movie listings, with paid links to sponsoring cinemas. Events listing. "Public notice board" - there will be a meeting of the boy scouts at - " type of thing. Personals in the classifieds ads sense, and a paid "match" service. Need to track IP from logins, in case of abuse, user cannot re-register unless there is administrator approval. Has to be secure to be Data Protection Act standards. For administrators, and for people who pay to be "certified" - they will need to provide proof of who they are - like [login to view URL] does. Funeral home has to be able to log in and provide obituraries, system has to make sure some unauthorized person does not do the same. The community building bit is important - everyone get a one page microsite, for a fee, they can have 10 pages. The follow on business will involve microsites that have their own url that will be parts of the site. [login to view URL] will also be [login to view URL] - not the real url's. Sell domain registrations through [login to view URL] API and let them link up through [login to view URL] as either a /place or as a sub domain. The [login to view URL] site has most of what is needed around user access and forums, avatars, etc. Also look at the resources for squirrelmail, unless you already have something, and [login to view URL] for classifieds. [login to view URL] site with using invision. Need a really strong mail function here - remember, I want to offer free web mail, charge for POP or forwarding - check out [login to view URL] for that - under premium services. Have to be able to mail to users according to whether they are free or paid, certified or not, male or female, over 18 or under 18, that type of thing. Event noticification has to work with it as well. You click on a meeting notice "Bake Sale at Local School" and the item can be added to your schedule, and if the user so sets it, they will get an e-mail reminder beforehand.
