You will be working alongside a MySQL Expert on designing a new monitoring tool for web applications. The tool is different to other trending and monitoring tools (like cacti and nagios) because it focuses primarily on response time of generating pages (which is what users really care about) rather than arbitrary capacity measurements like server load or cache hit ratios. ## Deliverables ** Strong development skills will be required ** I have done a lot of the initial development in PHP on this project, but decided it's time to get some help. I know what I'm talking about, I've been a LAMP developer for a long time, and all your interactions with me will be smooth and require little explaining. But I'm not going to micromanage, and if you have an idea to change something I did - I'm always up for ideas. There will be many small projects that I estimate will take between 5-20 hours each to complete. I think the best way for us to work together is if you estimate before starting a task, and give me a warning (in advance!) if you are going to run any more than 20% over your estimation.
