Web Design (single page prototype)
This is a simple uncomplicated web-design for a single page (no need for flash, or similar effects).
1) Are you able to design a simple CSS page, EXACTLY as per our requirements, but
2) at the same time to show innovative ideas, find nice images etc?
3) Do you have patience to discuss with us the details, and
4) to re-design as requested?
5) Are you able to communicate with us in an efficient way, to avoid misunderstandings?
6) Can you design not a “flashy??, but a good “business-like?? web-site?
7) Can you show us any previous design work?
8) Are you ready not to overcharge?
If the answer to ALL eight questions is YES, then there is a reasonable chance that we can give you not only this project, but many more in the future…
It is preferable , if you have some idea about the SEO aspect of design, or at least are ready to follow our instructions (and advice from our SEO gurus).
See the requirements, and ask any question, we are open to any reasonable ideas :)
## Deliverables
_The main requirements of the design:_
The general idea of the page plan is here:
I already put several words of the text here:
Some of the actual text could be found here, which is a full copy of our old ugly site:
**_You are expected to produce a kind of working “prototype?? for the “home page?? ( I’ll upload), without “dead?? links (but all the links from the old version to continue to work)_**
1) I do not know whether the site will be too frighteningly ugly (if you comply with everything exactly as I planned). If too ugly, then we have to insert some “nice?? things, but please TRY not to touch “text #1??, and it is important that “text #2?? is the next part of the page that is read by the SE spiders, before they start reading the millions of the table tags, Logo area, images etc. Please avoid as much as possible anything that is not “real text??, such as java scripts , or too much of the CSS, images etc. (CSS file should be external). Apart from these two areas (text #1 and #2), you can try some minimal images and whatever is needed to make it nice. {I realise that putting H2 tag into a CSS page will not work as predicted, but you must insert it!}
2) Although the main purpose of the project is only the “home page??, you may wish to demonstrate some CSS tricks, so that the page, without significant change, will be adapted to the “category?? and “order?? pages (there are no category pages at the moment). If you think that more “nice?? changes should be done, I agree.
3) Category links area #2 will be similar to the “old?? home page links , but the category links are currently missing (and there are no category pages at all, although I need them!).
4) My site will be the best portal with rich content (I didn’t say “the best looking??, so do not accuse me of wishful thinking). I am preparing masses of articles and “good looking content?? about blood pressure. I think it will be possible to insert several categories of interesting links such as “what is blood pressure??, “how to choose a blood pressure monitor?? “take a quiz - win a free blood pressure monitor?? “female aspects…??, etc etc. I think all these links should (directly or via a category?) start from the same “Category links area #2??, but after the main categories. What do you think?
5) General links to the usual (“standard??) pages can start from the “link area #1?? and “link area #3??. The standard links are:
home page
compare different models
guarantees
conditions of sale
best price match
contact us
about
wholesale
trade enquiries
affiliates
email to your friend
download free ebook about xxx
etc etc (any suggestions?)
Of course, most of these pages are not ready (I will create them later), so temporarily (to avoid broken links) some kind of pages should be created (we’ll fill them later with proper content)
Good luck
