Add clean URLs to Magento module

I have a Magento module that needs clean URLs to be added. Current URL: [login to view URL] Wanted URL: [login to view URL] I modified the plugin to have the wanted URL but it is returning a 404. The URL no longer routes to the module. It's more than I know so I need you to implement it.
