[login to view URL] - Virtuemart 3.x Payment Plugin

Overview:

The existing [login to view URL] payment plugin (available as standard with Virtuemart 3.x) supports processing credit card payments for through the [login to view URL] AIM API system. Although the plugin works adequately to process payments, it does not take advantage of the extended features available from [login to view URL] (as listed below).

Line Items - [login to view URL] is capable of accepting Line Item based information when creating an order and processing a transaction. This allows for a more detailed record of any given transaction.

CIM Integration - The Customer Integration Manager features of [login to view URL] allow for the creation of Client records using the Virtuemart Customer ID (or similar unique value) for future identification of existing customers.

Once a record for a Customer exists you can then attach payment methods for that Customer.

The API can now be used effectively to access information relating to Customer Information, Refunds and Payment Credentials.

Requirements:

Using the existing [login to view URL] Payment Plugin as a template, develop a new Payment Plugin for Virtuemart 3.x that will take full advantage of the extended [login to view URL] API features as highlighted above. The new plugin must conform to the guidelines as set out by both the Virtuemart 3 API doumentation and the [login to view URL] API documentation. For the plugin to work effectively there maybe some requirements for template overrides, especially with the Administrative area of Virtuemart 3.x and possibly an accompanying Joomla System plugin to assist in meeting the required goals.

The features we require (over and above those available in the standard plugin) are as follows:

Returning customers should be able to pay for orders using previously used Credit Card information (this information would be stored on [login to view URL] and accessed via their API).

Customers can choose to use a different payment method, and thi should be added as a Payment Method related to their CIM record on Authorize.net.

Using a Customer override, Administrators should now be able to process an order on behalf of a customer on the Virtuemart Store using the API to get the client data and payment details.

In Virtuemart Order Administration, you can change the status of an order or an order line item to refunded or re-imbursed. In both cases we would like a refund to be processed via the [login to view URL] API and confirmation of a successful refund logged. An admin should be able to refund either the TOTAL order amount OR the LINE ITEM order amount as required, and an instant email notification detailing the transaction should be sent to the customer.

Pre-requisites:

N.B. If you cannot provide evidence, or demonstrate a satisfactory knowledge of your experience with both the [login to view URL] API (specifically Line Item processing and CIM record ccreation and management) and a working knowledge of developing Payment Plugins for Virtuemart 3.x. PLEASE DO NOT bid on this project.
