Hello, I've reviewed the project specs and I'm confident I can get this done, on time and on budget. Backend APIs, MySQL, DO, etc. are my daily bread and butter. The S3 addendum isn't a problem, I've done it before. I'd prefer to do the work with PHP + Slim, as it performs and is easy to deploy and maintain. However, I am open to use whatever you prefer. I have 15 years experience building server-side applications in Java and other technologies including Rails. I know you prefer rails, but I personally can provide a higher quality project via Java with Spring and would not feel comfortable bidding on this as Rails even though I can produce it. What I would deliver: - All source code, always working and running when committed to version control. - Continuous delivery - every or every few commits I will push to the deployment server (provided you are ok with that) so you can give feedback before I complete the entire project. - A "twelve-factor app" style application for easy deployment, configuration, and scaling in many environments. - Tech stack: Java, Spring Framework, Spring Integration for S3 support, Spring Data for persistence. - API style: REST - unless you have already designed the APIs. - Database: any popular SQL-based DB. Changing databases requires changing a configuration file. I will start with Postgresql. - 100% unit test coverage. - Full Java documentation (Javadoc) and higher level docs (design, installation/configuration, etc.) for future developers. - Bug support for 1 year past final delivery. Assumptions: - Approximately 7-9 "resources" that can be created/read/updated/deleted. - Production deployment is simple. Note that I do all contract work in the evenings and on weekends.
