I want to create a destination marketing website for zanzibar island, the niche market is for muslim travellers and muslim friendly tours and hotels and products but specifically for zanzibar island, at the very least initially.
I have already created a form and am in the process of creating a database of all the muslim friendly hotels in zanzibar island and their specific amenities,services,etc. the idea is sort of to create a tripadvisor version of muslim friendly hotels, so there will be a filtering option when visitors are choosing hotels that best fit their needs. form and database is created in kobo toolbox, so we will have to be able to transpose those data into the website to create a more visual/graphic representation of our destination.
Also, I will have an online store that is going to be selling muslim friendly swimming apparel.
The "pitch" is to be able to provide muslims who are experiencing islamophpbia and burkini bans, etc to be able to find a safe holiday haven for them to be able to come and enjoy a completely muslim friendly environment with their families. zanzibar is well known for its muslim and cultural heritages so i will be including alot of information about its history and culture and showcasing some interesting historical visiting areas.
I have already acquired an open source hotel booking software that can accomodate multiple hotels, coding lang is mostly php i believe. I want to integrate that in to my website and connect it to the different hotels that I will be working with so that clients can book their rooms for whichever hotels they choose from my website.
hoping to get an idea of what the timeline and cost factors are going to be so that i can decide on starting to implement the project. The database of hotels has already begun with their specific informations.
