We need a developer for a studio rental online booking web app. Our company is a dance studio rental business for teachers and students for practice. See website: [login to view URL] We need a web app for teachers/students to be able to view available time frames for each studio and book/pay online. We also need an interface for the staff to book studios from phone calls. The app should update live without refresh. There is also a buch of other functionality our app should have. Here's a quick list: - We are currently using google calendar so importing from google calendar for existing bookings would be great. - The app should support multiple/recurring bookings. - We are using square, I don't know if integration with square is possible. Stripe integration is also acceptable instead. We already have a rough of the UI in Photoshop and a basic Database schema. Both can/should be improved by the developer. Our current website is wordpress but the app can be on another platform. We will give more details in private discussions with interesting candidates. We want someone with deep understanding of programming and the overall project with a strong portfolio. We want something sharp and we are picky. We also require some autonomy and efficiency from the candidate. Please let us know what is the platform/solution you would use for this work in order for your application to be considered. Regarding booking app, we have already done similar booking app for one of our client that includes interaction between client and coach and it was a recurring payment using paypal. stripe is also one of the best payment gateway and we can use it. i have a seen a square POS but it is just a POS and they dont provide any payment gateway integration SDK which we can use. Regarding technology, we should use cutting edge technologies like Meteorjs or nodejs/express for the backend. The approximate cost that i am thinking can take approximate around 4000 cad. we can discuss the timeframe once you share all the functionalities and photoshop mockups. Hi, For this kind of applications the best choice of technology would be GWT (google web toolkit). It is a great framework for writing Ajax applications, well optimized and easy to debug. It gives us possibility to use power of java language on both client and server side. (java is more serious and powerful language than php, javascript and appropriate for this application) On the front-end I would go with responsive Bootstrap in combination to GWT widgets. On the server we can use Spring framework + Hibernate ORM. I am senior java programmer and recently worked on huge timetabling school system for Australian schools. It is web application where students and teachers can sign in and see their timetables. Write notes, choose subjects... It has some similarities with this project.
