We need to connect our online Opencart(PHP/MySQL) website with another system that uses INFORMIX database on a UNIX server (in-house at company premises)
In detail; whenever there is a Sale online in our OpenCart website, the online MySQL db is updated automatically. We need to remote connect with our in-house Informix database and execute queries needed to do the following operation/processes on this database:
1. Currently, we have a POS program tat performs a lot of operations like creating Invoice, Delivery Order, Stock/Qty reduction, Stock Transfer between divisions etc. So, whenever there is a sale online, we need to replicate these procedures to do the same actions as for a sale inhouse at the POS counter.
2. Have a scheduled sync between both systems to update the online mysql stock/qty and price every 1 hour from the Informix db.
The work needs to have documentation, and access to the Informix database cannot be granted due to company policies (since its not happening in-house). All information about tables, structure or any other information can be provided as needed.
