We have recently optimized an ecommerce website we are developing for speed which included setting up a CDN. However, we are having long initial server response times from our Apache VPS server (hosted offsite). The techs at the CDN, and the analysis on GTmetrix are showing long server response times for all product pages, add to cart, check out, etc. in our site (with the exception of loading the home page). The VPS host provider offered the basic set-up when purchased, but does not offer further File Manager configuration services for this VPS beyond the initial set-up. I need an Apache expert to make sure all the settings in our VPS are properly configured and URL's, etc. are set up for optimal performance with our CDN. High response times can have various reasons; might be apache, of course, but also could be bad PHP config, assuming, your site is built with PHP, could be too few general resources available on your VPS (too few CPU quota, too much paging etc. ?), network problems (bad routing ?) etc. So my time estimate is on the "safe side", not to trigger too high expectations.
