Hello, I did such project in the past. I was following the famous ISPmail document to install the whole webserver. As per your question: 1. OS would be Debian 8 (Jessie) 2. Webmail software would be RoundCube 3. Mail server software would be Postfix, mailbox software would be Dovecot 4. Database server would be MySQL I can install the whole mailserver on 1 physical server. I will provide an extension to existing documentation to make it easier for you to re-perform the steps needed to build the mailserver

1. Server OS Required Centos 7 2. Suggestion for webmail server software. i.e. horde I would advise for roundcube, as this is a versatile webmail client 3. suggestion for mailbox server software. I would advise for exim mail server 4 suggestion for database server. I would advise mysql database server --------------------- My questions for you: 1) How are the plans to deploy new email accounts? 3) Do you intend to use a web interface for such or you want them created by a script? How this usually is done, is to deploy a web management panel for your technicians to use and deploy the mail services. The advantages of having a control panel in front of the services is that you get more services along: * spam protection * dkim/spf validator * email management for each customers I would advise ispmanager control panel, that comes with a cheap license and can accommodate unlimited number of domains/email accounts. The problem with your intended setup shows several critical problems: 1) customers will not be able to change their own password if no control panel is used to intermediate this 2) not many functions can be provided just by using the raw email server and a webserver. 3) The security of such a setup is not very strong compared to one using a control panel
