Need someone to write a bit of PHP that fetches the contents of a <div> and puts it in a meta tag

I have prices on a website that are written in a div.
I would like somebody to write a bit of code that fetches the number in this div, minus the dollar sign, and places it in the product:price:amount meta property.
<meta property="product:price:amount" content="[code here]" />
There's already code that dynamically fetches the title/url/description of the on-screen item so the foundations are there. I think this will just take a few lines of PHP.
