Every time I modify a product, it will show as being updated on the homepage grid and as such will move to the top of the page. I often edit products and don’t want this to happen as its not an update (new version), so need a script that will allow me to edit products without this happening. So in other words, if a product has its version changed, then it should be classed as an update (no change), but any other edit where the version number is not altered should not change the modified date.
I actually have a script already but it's not working properly. If I turn it on I can do the modified work and save the product without changing the modified data but it does not work if I change the version number only. The version number is a Custom Field which may be the issue and the script is not allowing for this.
