Python finishing relatively simple app PHP knowledge required

We have already an application written in python that communicates with a php server. The app is a bit small, noting really fancy. What it does, it makes HTTP HTTPS requests and maybe 2-3 more based on the entrances of an sql server table, it then adds the responses to the database. i would like the following:
- To get a documentation about the full app. Be explained to me how it fully works.
- Add a little bit more functionality, this depends on what it already does, but it\'s not far from what i want it to do. I would like another entrance added to the database based on the responses, i think this will be more on the php part.
- The work is not much and the price is right
