Reverse Engineer Android App Api

There is an android app that I need to use the html api outside of the app. The app uses digest authentication when. I have the apk file for the app. Just need someone to figure out how to make requests using the api outside of the app. Should be simple if you know how this sort of thing works.
I DO NOT NEED AN APP MADE. I only need someone to look into the source code of an andriod app and figure out what is being used in the digest auth.
