Salesforce directly dont support excel parsing into salesforce data, instead we can use CSV (Comma Delimited File) to load the data directly Salesforce using Visual force page Customization. There few connectors are available too to connect to excel and salesforce, but it have limitation too in having the data in the format they suggest. We can decide the approach based on the requirement. I am 5.5 years experience in salesforce development & customization having good integration knowledge using SOAP & REST API.
