Shell script to find/replace patterns

goal: Replace hostnames in a set of xml files
I will have two inventory files (old hosts and new hosts)
format :
cat [login to view URL]
hosts (2):
[login to view URL]
[login to view URL]
cat [login to view URL]
hosts (2):
[login to view URL]
[login to view URL]
1)Step 1 is to change hosts to this format example: ip-100-14-184-237
2)find and replace in all xml files that match first host in [login to view URL] with the first host in [login to view URL], second host in old [login to view URL] with the second host in [login to view URL] and so on. (loop)
