When I open Wordpress to update my website, it opens to the backend but nothing actually appears except the menu bar. I have not updated the version of wordpress for years. However even clicking on the "updates" tab does not work - nothing is displayed no matter what menu item you click. Not sure what the issue is. But perhaps wordpress needs to be updated or reinstalled?
