Uptdate my old Wordpress theme

I have a very simple Wordpress theme coded several years back. I want someone with good knowledge in CSS, HTML, PHP etc to look through the code and update it to current standards.
My theme already loads very fast. I am not looking for a lot of additional features, simply update the code. Simplify it and apply any changes that will increse the speed even further. The theme is already responsive, I get some error with render blocking css, i need you to fix as well.
I want some options added. Featured image in posts, apply the code needed to use schema markup for posts and pages, i dont want to use a plugin.
You can see the default theme on www.blaabloggen.com. This is just a site I use for testing changes.
I consider this to be fairly simple, simply update the coding. The goal is to be up to date, and hopefully remove some of the http requests to speed it up some more.
