Voting System (polls)

Basically the site is to polls. I want a simple site, using Bootstrap, PHP, MySQL, jQuery and Ajax (I prefer Codeigniter, but it's possible use other). The idea is to remake all my site because it is too slow and does not have all the functionality I need. I would use more jquery ajax and to optimize performance (the site goes down because it exceeds the 25 simultaneous requests required by the server).
In the future I will add more things on the site, but what I need now is just redo the platform, and have a place to display the results in a friendly manner (with animated graphics and maps), and be able to combine the results. Pondering to government statistics.
The combination of results would be as follows:
60% of people the site like banana
40% of people the site like apple
People who like Apple, as they have the intention to vote for president in January and February 2015?
70% of people who like Apple, would vote for the president The
30% of people who like Apple, would vote for the president B
