Woocommerce / Wordpress database fixes

My wordpress site is not loading, due to a mysql database issue. It overloads the server with mysql queries and never finishes loading, or takes a very long time loading. It is an old wordpress installation, so do not think you can solve this by installing some plugin (to clean up the database or something like that). I do not want to upgrade the installation to a newer version right now, I want to fix the table causing the problems. It might be caused by a lot of old, inactive plugins that needs to be cleaned up, but I'm not sure. I you have an idea of how to fix this, I am looking forward to getting a bid from you. Thank you.
