I have developed an educational site with Avanquest WebEasyPro 8 /10.
It will allow registered professionals and students to consult and use various (higher) educational materials such as ppt-presentations, handouts, etc. Professional users will be able to upload these materials (to be precise: ppt, pptx, shw, xls, xlsx, doc, docx, wpd, pdf, jpeg, jpeg and png files, one at a time). The site consists of many pages and works okay on my webspace at 1&1 hosting (Windows server with ASPNet-client).
My problem is that the (PHP) upload scripts I have tried out so far, are not uploading any files. According to [url removed, login to view] that I added to my webspace, 1&1 is operating PHP 5.6.17. This apparently works, as I have been able to run PHP registration forms just fine.
What I need is some correction or adjustment of the basic HTML and/or PHP file-upload scripts and probably some advice regarding possible PHP-ini, config or .htaccess settings (i.e. what, where to put it, etc.).
When I use the files "[url removed, login to view]" and "[url removed, login to view]" (see attachments) I will get an upload page with 2 buttons: "Send this file [Browse]" and "[upload]". Browsing works okay, but as soon as I hit the [upload] button the web page turns blank, the address pointing to http://..../[url removed, login to view] with nothing else happening. I have kept these files very basic for testing purposes, and obviously I will enhanced them with various limitations and restrictions (such as file size, extensions, verifications, etc.). Chmod 777 doesn't work through my FileZilla, but I have been able to grant all permissions to my "uploads" subdirectory through 1&1's control panel.
So, the assignment involves a couple of things:
1/ help regarding the HTML and PHP upload files, as described, making uploading actually work;;
2/ possible help regarding setting up this web page in the 1&1 webspace (PHP-ini, .htaccess, or other necessary settings);
3/ advice on how to get the user back to the same or another page after his/her upload has taken place.
Thanks in advance,
