The Freelance Producer is responsible for leading the production of client work and internal brand development with a hyper-specialization in video content. They are responsible for overseeing the development and execution of video content. The Freelance Producer will report directly to the Chief Client Officer. Their goal is to assist in bringing JUV’s creative visions to life via video, in partnership with our clients.
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $35.00 to $45.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors JUV considers relevant to the hiring decision.
Duties and Responsibilities
-The consistent responsibilities of the Freelance Producer include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Oversee the production of video content for client and internal projects
-Oversee the logistics, budgets, timeline and staffing during pre production, production and post.
-Partner with the project teams and clients to ensure their creative vision comes to life logistically
-Oversee and facilitate talent outreach, contracting and briefing as well as work with finance to ensure payments are made.
-Collaborate with the JUV Accounts and creative teams to push our video concepts and production to the next level.
-Select, hire and contract appropriate crew members for all productions
-Ensure each production is set up for success in all aspects and is in line with client expectations.
-Assist with other ad-hoc projects as it relates to video + content creation
-Stay up to date with the buzz around Generation Z
Required Education and Experience
-Strong technical skills (such as mastery of the Adobe Suite applications, Final Cut Pro or comparable software)
-A passion for creating engaging and accessible content
-Ability to develop agile social content leveraging creators, actors or everyday people.
-The ability to mold personal artistic style into various brands’ visual identity
-A portfolio, whether it be personal work or client work
-Developed, directed, and executed video creation
Additional Skills/Abilities
-Must be extremely organized with outstanding time-management skills.
-Ability to work and collaborate with different teams across departments
-Well versed in navigating social media platforms and understanding Gen Z trends
-A phenomenal ability and drive to juggle multiple long-term and short-term projects with competing deadlines.
-Must have strong professional and client relationship skills.
-Familiarity with digital assets, social media, and content management.
-Stellar written and verbal communication skills—texting, taking notes, emailing, chatting IRL/virtually, or presenting the work.
