TASK
You have been asked to design and implement a program for a Decorator:
The purpose of the application is to estimate the cost of painting a room.
The Decorator needs to be able to enter the height of the room (between 2 and 5 meters), and the length of each of the 4 walls (between 1 and 25 meters each). The application should then calculate and display the total area of the room.
The application should allow a choice of 3 paint types:
Luxury quality at a cost of £1.75 per square meter.
Standard quality at a cost of £1.00 per square meter.
Economy quality at a cost of £0.45 per square meter.
The application should then display the cost for the paint type chosen.
The Decorator should then be able to choose to use undercoat paint if required, which costs an additional £0.50 per square meter. The price for the undercoat should be displayed.
The total cost for painting the room should then be displayed.
DELIVERABLES
1. You need to produce a design for your application. Your design should consist of the following:
o An Algorithm outlining the steps to be taken in achieving the application results.
o A flowchart
2. You should now implement the application. Your application must demonstrate the use of selection and iteration, variables, functions/procedures, and data validation.
Evidence of implementation will be in the form of:
o Screenshots of the working application
o Screenshots of the commented code
o Demonstration of the working application.
3. You should now test the Interior Decorator application using screenshots of your test
4. You should produce a technical documentation for the support and maintenance of your application.
