I can do simple, one-byte transactions with SPI, using RasPi connected to an RFM69 radio module. I can read and write any register with ease. However, I am now trying to connect the RasPi to a MAX6662 temperature sensor that has 16-bit registers and I don't know how to formulate the grammar and syntax in Python in order to read more than one byte. When I purchased the MAX6662, I failed to notice that it is a 3-wire device, which adds a layer of complication.

Dear Sir,
I have sound knowledge and experiences in Arduino, Raspberry Pi programming and Computer programming.
I read your project description and read the article provided in link. Datasheet of the component.
This is how it is done, As in the article you had to first send the command first and ignore the received byte. then send 0x00 three times and read the value received. these three values could be formulate to one word value and processing the value you will get the data.
Messages me if you have any question.
