Our company provides first-in-class education for new drivers in the USA. A major component of our ability to provide quality education at scale is our website (platform), which you can see at coastlineacademy.com. This platform is used by customers to take online classes and schedule in-person driving lessons, and is also used by our driving instructors to manage their schedules and workload. You can think of it as a two-sided marketplace like Airbnb or Uber, (though the business model is quite different). The website is built using React, Redux and Firebase (database, auth, severless functions, hosting). We are embarking on a project to re-build the entire stack in NextJS (likely with Apollo/GraphQL and Recoil). The motivation for this is improving SEO for our landing pages and generally modernizing our platform for a better long-term developer experience. We are looking for a developer with significant [login to view URL] experience who can contribute to architectural design strategy as well as write lots of great code. You would join a team of two other developers, one full-time, one part-time, and play a key role in the re-architecture of our platform. This is a contract position.
