I am running a customized instance of mastodon social, which is an open source social media platform. The tech stack is Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, Redux, and PostgreSQL. I want to add livestreaming capabilities to my app via WOWZA Streaming Cloud that runs in browsers. My project is two-fold: I need to allow users to register their organization for the live stream feature (this part will only have 1 UI. Approve/Deny can be done from email) Allow users to post a live streaming playback url. After the livestream is over, the url in the post will be update with a VOD url. This means, the developer will need to interact with the Mastodon Social API and the WOWZA API. Deliverables Complete Organization Livestream registration Connect to WOWZA API to setup livestreaming. Notify site master when a user registers Approve / Deny from email Notify user If user can broadcast, show icon on Post composition User shares livestream playback url After broadcast, update url with VOD url retrieved from WOWZA.
