I have an equipment made by Advanced Energy. The manufacturer provided their own control software. However, I do not want to use this. I am looking for alternative ways to control the equipment using serial interface RS-232. The following proposals are welcome: 1. window cmd prompt 2. python 3. We can try to communicate with this equipment by using GUI in MATLAB. I have already done communication with other equipments like signal generator,spectrum analyzer and VNA etc.
