This is the start of my endeavour to develop a virtual assistant focused on technical user manuals and online documentation. My background is 20 years of working in large corporates, driving technical solutions for business users and customers alike. After my recent time at Salesforce I see the need for improving how user manuals, sometimes thousands of pages of content, can be accessed and used for getting answers to customers questions. With the use of AI, and initially text-based entry and output developing into voice input and graphical, VR and AR output and in addition using other information sources such as forums etc. I am looking for various skill sets to join me as I bring this to life. Initially someone with experience in AI probably NLP focus and who will able to give recommendations of three or four potential solutions I can create Proof of concepts with. I would also be looking for an explanation on why the recommended options would best to research and develop with.

Hi I can help you with QA and Virtual assistant problems. As far as I see your problem may be solved using Non-factoid QA solutions that are on the table (factoids are questions like "Who is Luke Skywalker's father" with answers "Darth Vader" or "Anakin Skywalker". Nonfactoids are more complex questions) In order to give you some advices on design I must know what data you are dealing with (format, subject complexity etc.), What is your intended accuracy rate etc. Also language is important because there are only good solutions for several languages.
