Hardware/Software Measuring Device for Golf

I please need the following underlying analysis and user interface hardware/software applications (which could consist of or include a mathematical model) developed for a golf-related application and device named a “Golf Grip Hand Structure Efficient Device” as follows.

As envisioned at this time, there will be two small wireless sensors (perhaps 9DOF absolute orientation sensors), one attached to the back side of each hand of a golfer, essentially opposite of yet equivalent to the palms of the hands.

These two sensors and the accompanying software would track the orientations of the hands, completely independently of each other and also as a function that compares their orientations relative to each other, over the course of a golf swing.

The device will be utilized under two conditions. The first will be when there is the equivalent of a golf club/grip in hand, which provides a rigid common frame of reference running through both hands and for which the results will be considered baseline or reference information for a golfer. The second and more important condition, which defines the name and use of the device, is when only the limbs of the hands are used in swinging, where the hands are formed into a gripping structure without the aid of any common reference for the hands to aid the golfer. The results indicate a critical (new) golfing parameter known as the Golf Grip Hand Structure Efficiency Rating or Value for any given golfer.

A simplest user interface would only need to be a visual representation of a pair of hands basically centered on a screen, where the orientations of the hands are visually represented over the course of a golf swing, with mathematical information also provided as to the 3D orientations of the hands both independently and relative to each other with respect to time. An important optional feature of the application would be to create a (software-based) tare or similar function that aligns the sensors in the same direction and essentially through the centers of the hands at the start of a golf swing (essentially equivalent to the position and direction an actual golf club would have if in hand), which could make certain analyses more convenient and easier to comprehend.

While such a simple user interface would suffice at the start, it would certainly be much better if a visual of an actual golf swing (or at the very least the hands in motion as such) could be provided in addition to or instead of the simplest interface described above. By being able to visually represent exactly where in the swing the orientations of the hands are what they are, that would have a much improved impact on the analysis of and learning via the application. Although a general simulated golf swing could be implemented that does not need to match that of the golfer particularly well, a truly skilled individual should ultimately be able to utilize the data from the sensors to much more accurately reconstruct the actual swings of individual golfers, which would greatly benefit the application as a whole.

The use of off-the-shelf development sensors might wisely be used first to get an initial testing prototype in hand less expensively and more quickly. But even here, such devices can have varying specifications, so skilled hardware knowledge to help choose the best sensors (based on the above description of operation) would seemingly be needed in order to best proceed. There are other hardware selection factors that may or may not also potentially come into play and for which I do not have immediate answers to, such as whether the final device will be a desktop computer or phone application to name just one. So in addition to the software skill(s) needed, I will need some expert advice for determining what hardware or development devices might best be used and why before I will be able to best proceed.
