Hello,
For the last 10 days I have noticed an issue on my CentOS 5 server. Just about everyday httpd service shuts down. If I try to restart apache through SSH I receive the error,
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start
Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to
address [::]:80
(98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs
The only way I can get my sites back up is to reboot the server.
While reviewing my latest log files I noticed a great deal of "lame server resolving" errors.
I need an experienced Linux admin to review this and determine what is the cause and correct it.
