I did something really similar to this when I proposed to my wife! I created simple illustrated versions of the two of us and animated a short piece set to a romantic song that we both liked, and the video was my gift to her after she said yes. If you've already got storyboards, that'll help a lot in making this a smooth process, and it'll make sure that you get to see exactly what you want in the end. I do animation full-time in my day job, so this is right up my alley. I would make sure and send you style boards for approval at various points during the process to make sure you're liking it all at every stage of the animation.
